Infectious Disease Prevention Measures
The Music Festival for Children and Young People has established the following
measures to ensure that all visitors can attend the festival safely.
We would like to ask for your understanding and cooperation regarding the following
infectious disease prevention measures.
Suntory Hall’s Visitor Guideline for Infectious Disease Prevention:
- All staff members who interact with visitors will wear masks. Some staff members will wear face shields and gloves when providing information and assistance for visitors.
- Alcohol for sanitizing hands is available throughout Suntory Hall.
- Antibacterial and antiviral coatings are regularly applied to all areas of Suntory Hall (the auditoriums, foyer, restrooms, etc.) that visitors touch with their hands.
- Adequate ventilation is provided inside Suntory Hall at all times.
- Tables, chairs, couches, waste bins, and other equipment may be temporarily removed.
Request for Cooperation from Visitors to Suntory Hall:
- People who do not wear masks will not be allowed to enter. We recommend the use of non-woven masks, which are more effective at blocking sprayed droplets. Please wear a mask at all times while at Suntory Hall, even while viewing the performance, and ensure that your mouth and nose are covered.
- Regarding young children, as of February 2022, we are asking children of age two and up to wear masks correctly while at Suntory Hall. (Masks are optional only for children under the age of two.)
Note: These rules may change according to the pandemic situation at the time of the performance, so please check the rules immediately before your visit. - Please cooperate with temperature checks and hand sanitization when you enter Suntory Hall. We ask that you come early enough to allow time for these measures. (We will not allow people with a temperature of 37.5°C or higher to enter.)
- While at Suntory Hall, please refrain from conversing with others and cheering at the performance.
- Please follow coughing etiquette by covering your face or turning your face downward when coughing.
- People will be denied entry for the following reasons. Please refrain from coming if they apply to you.
- People with symptoms that include a fever of 37.5°C or higher, coughing, and a sore throat; people who have had a persistent fever for several days; and people with cold symptoms (fever, coughing, sneezing, a sore throat, etc.).
People with fatigue, people who are having difficulty breathing, and people with other concerns about their physical health. - People who have been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- People who, in the past two weeks, have visited a country or territory that faces entry restrictions or a mandatory observation period by the Japanese government, or who have been in close contact with a resident of such a country or territory.
- People with symptoms that include a fever of 37.5°C or higher, coughing, and a sore throat; people who have had a persistent fever for several days; and people with cold symptoms (fever, coughing, sneezing, a sore throat, etc.).
- Please wash and disinfect your hands frequently.
- Maintain your distance from other people and avoid being crowded into entrances, foyers, corridors, restrooms, and other confined spaces.
- As of February 2022, the statuses of the services provided at Suntory Hall are as follows.
- Cloak Room: Cloak Room service is currently suspended, so please refrain from bringing musical instruments, wheeled suitcases, and other large luggage.
- Gift Shop: The Gift Shop is currently closed. You are encouraged to use the Digital Suntory Hall’s Online Gift Shop.
- Bar and Refreshment Lounge: The Bar and Refreshment Lounge may be closed.
- Water coolers: The water coolers are unavailable, so please bring your own drinking water and anything else needed for taking medicine and staying hydrated. (Alcohol is not permitted.)
- Please refrain from bringing bouquets of flowers and other gifts. We do not allow them to be given directly to performers.
- Please cooperate by installing COCOA, the COVID-19 Contact-Confirming Application. This smartphone application allows you to receive notifications regarding contact you might have had with people infected with COVID-19.
- We ask that you take all possible measures to prevent infection, such as wearing a mask, while you are traveling to and from Suntory Hall.
We ask for the understanding and cooperation of all our visitors in order to prevent infections and stop the spread of the virus.
The measures describe above are subject to change in accordance with the state of the pandemic going forward. Please be sure to check the latest information before you visit.
